Story

In the early 2000s, three friends saw a community in need

Older Chinese-American adults were aging without access to care that honored their language, culture, and family values. Those friends—Victor, Anna, and Brenda—started ABI in 2007 to address this unmet need. What began as a small, community-oriented agency in 2011 has since grown into what we now know as TEAM NY.

Today, TEAM NY brings together ABI, Life, and ATD, along with more than five HHA and PCA programs, serving tens of thousands of families across New York. While our scale has changed, our goal remains the same: to provide care rooted in cultural understanding, integrity, and personal connection.
